Part Time Customer Experience Associate / Payment Center Cashier

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Wednesday and Thursday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking two dependable and customer focused Customer Experience Associates to support a busy payment center in Las Vegas New Mexico.

In this front facing position you will assist customers with processing payments answering account related questions and providing information regarding available payment assistance programs. This role requires strong attention to detail professionalism and accuracy when handling cash checks and customer account information.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional and friendly customer service to customers visiting the payment center

• Process cash and check payments accurately and efficiently

• Apply payments to the appropriate customer accounts

• Follow established financial controls security procedures and audit requirements

• Provide customers with information regarding available assistance programs

• Assist customers with payment arrangements and extensions when applicable

• Maintain accurate transaction records throughout the workday

• Complete daily and batch balancing of cash drawers

• Reconcile tape totals deposit slips transaction logs and payment activity

• Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate balancing

• Protect confidential customer and financial information

• Follow established policies and procedures for payment processing and customer account transactions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous customer service experience preferred

• Previous cashier banking retail payment processing or cash handling experience strongly preferred

• Comfortable handling cash and checks and completing financial transactions

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to balance cash drawers and transaction records

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Professional and customer focused demeanor

• Ability to follow established financial controls and procedures

• Dependable and able to consistently work the required Wednesday and Thursday schedule

Additional Requirements

This position involves handling customer payments and financial transactions. Candidates must be able to successfully complete all required preemployment screening requirements including a credit check.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is dependable detail oriented comfortable working directly with customers and experienced handling financial transactions. Someone with previous cashier banking utility payment center retail or high volume customer service experience would be well suited for this opportunity.
